“Maiah taught me therapy can be flexible and the approach to healing can embody elements of life that spark joy such as experiential activities that include nature, body movement, and cultural connections. I learned healthy boundaries that still encompassed compassion, patience, and understanding of body, mind and soul connections, while walking with a person who is healing. I continue to carry Maiah's teachings into my work today and with the clinicians I now supervise.”
